  1. The Lakewood Police Are Severely Undermanned.
Appx 350 Brave Officers Need to Cover A City of 110,000+ Souls and 25 Square Miles.
There are Three 8 Hour Shifts.
Only Patrolman are in the Police Cruisers. Unlike the NYPD, Sergeants and above….Supervisors….Rarely leave the HQ.
Every NYPD Sector has a Supervisor Sgt. on Patrol.
Factor In Sick Days, Vacations and Court Appearances there’s Not Enough Coverage.

    • What does that have to do with this excuse of a human being free to roam with such a terrible record including killing a young man and leaving the scene of the accident?!!!

  2. This claim is inane. Perhaps we should incarcerate everyone, because they might cause an accident. Then, when you don’t take this genius advice and an accident inevitably happens, we can blame those who don’t take this advice!!!!

Keeping people locked up does not make society safer, multiple studies have shown that. Even obnoxious criminals. When someone gets hurt or killed through a criminal in the streets, it is tempting to want to make major changes and lock up all kinds of people, but the sober data shows that makes things worse. The mass incarceration in this country is a cause of all kinds of problems, and we all pay the price for those problems.

  3. Dear I say the LPD is incompetent? Instead of having shop with a cop, train the cops to focus on catching & holding criminals. Then they wont need to make friends with the people who sponsor their jobs. If they truly did what the community needs them for they’d be loved.
