President Trump slammed House Democrats today after members decided against officially rebuking Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar for her recent comments that have been widely condemned as anti-Semitic.
“It is shameful that House Democrats won’t take a stronger stand against Anti-Semitism in their conference,” Trump tweeted. “Anti-Semitism has fueled atrocities throughout history and it’s inconceivable they will not act to condemn it!”
“I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country,” Omar said last week at an event last week at an even in Washington, D.C.
“I want to ask, why is it OK for me to talk about the influence of the NRA, of fossil fuel industries, or Big Pharma, and not talk about a powerful lobby that is influencing policy?” she said in reference to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
