First 167K from HUD, now $30K from the health department. The LRRC is doing fine!


U.S. Senators Bob Menendez, a senior member of the Senate Finance Committee that sets national health policy, and Cory Booker today announced nearly $1.7 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to continue the essential health care services provided at several New Jersey Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).

“Community Health Centers are a critical piece of the puzzle in ensuring everyone has access to quality, affordable health care in this country. By offering quality health care in our communities, health centers help individuals access vital preventive services and avoid expensive emergency room visits,” said Sen. Menendez. “This funding will help ensure that residents of New Jersey continue to benefit from robust and comprehensive health care, regardless of their socioeconomic status.”

“These federal dollars will support access to quality and comprehensive health care services New Jersey residents,” said Sen. Booker. “Our community health centers provide New Jerseyans with important health education and preventive services, and they also encourage healthy lifestyles to keep families and our communities thriving.”
