FINAL UPDATE – Tehillim: Van with 15 bochurim flips in Virginia, 1 in critical condition


Final update: 11 PM – Gaston Fire-Rescue-EMS and Roanoke-Wildwood Fire Department were dispatched at 6:43PM to a rollover on River Road near Post Office Road in Henrico. Upon arrival, 17 patients were found.

Of the patients, 11 were non-urgent, five were urgent, and one was critical. Of the five urgent patients, one was found trapped inside of the multi-passenger van. Two rows of rear seats were removed by firefighters using hydraulic rescue cutters and reciprocating saws.

The patients were transported to Halifax Regional Medical Center of Roanoke Rapids and Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center of Emporia by Gaston Fire-Rescue-EMS, Northampton County EMS, Warren County Rescue Squad, Halifax County EMS, and Atlas Medical Transport. Units remained on scene for over an hour, during such time the roadway was closed. NC Highway Patrol is leading the accident investigation. Also, on scene was Northampton County Emergency Management, Northampton County Sheriff’s Department, and Warren County Sheriff’s Department.

At 6:30 PM a van with 15 bochurim flipped in Virginia. They were from ‘machane of Richmond’. Injuries have been reported.
