Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu toured the security fence on the Israel-Egypt border today, where he was briefed by area commanders before holding a security assessment at the IDF Gaza Division.
“I have just come from an update with field commanders here in the area on the Sinai border,” Netanyahu, who also serves as Defense Minister, said. “This fence is a phenomenal success. It has completely stopped the entry of hundreds of thousands of people from Africa and the entry into Israel of terrorists from Sinai.”
Netanyahu also warned Hamas that “any display of aggression will be met with a very vigorous response on Israel’s part.”
“They would do well to understand this now rather than later,” he said.
