The man accused of killing reputed mob boss Frank Cali appeared in court on Monday with “MAGA Forever” and “United We Stand MAGA” scribbled on his hand.
Anthony Comello, 24, agreed to be extradited to New York during the court hearing in Toms River on Monday, meaning he will be transfered to Staten Island to face murder charges.
While waiting for the hearing to start, Comello showed reporters the pro-Donald Trump slogans which were written on his left hand in blue ink.
It’s unclear what his motivations were for displaying the hand-written words.
Comello’s lawyer refused to discuss the writing on his client’s hand, nor would he say whether Comello maintained his innocence.
Comello was arrested at his parent’s house in Brick Township over the weekend in connection with the fatal shooting of the reputed boss of the Gambino crime family.
Police sources told the Daily News that Comello may have been high when the shooting happened and he thought Cali was armed as well.
