Lakewood Township police are investigating an early morning shooting which occurred at a local bar.
Lakewood Police Captain Gregory Staffordsmith said officers responded to a banquet hall on the second floor of the El Oaxaqueno Supermarket shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday after a report came in that shots were fired.
Police said large crowds were seen exiting on Clifton Avenue and the manager of the hall told them there was an altercation between partygoers inside the hall but they weren’t aware of gun shots.
Detectives later found evidence of a shooting in the rear parking lot along with several cars that suffered damage from bullets.
During the investigation, witnesses told police that six shots were fired towards the rear of the building by one of three males.
It appears no one was injured but police are asking anyone who may have more information or if anyone was injured by gunfire to call them.

All left prior to police arrival, possibly in a gray or silver sedan, towards First Street.
