Israel: First Ramat Trump, Now Trump square


Prime Minister Netanyahu sent a letter thanking the Petach Tikva municipality and its mayor Rami Greenberg for agreeing to name the central square after President Donald Trump.

He decision was made to thank and recognize President Trump’s close friendship with Israel.

The dedication is set to take place July fourth and will feature Ambassador David Friedman as well as Netanyahu.

Jpost reports, the Netanyahu letter read “I am delighted to give my blessing to naming the central square of Petah Tikva, in honor of President Trump.”

“Trump is a true friend of Israel, and has demonstrated uncompromising friendship to Israel’s security, especially with regard to the Iranian threat, transferring the US Embassy to Jerusalem and Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights,” he added.

A few weeks ago he Golan Heights named a community after Trumo calling it ‘Trump Heights.’
