A spokesman for Ethiopian Airlines said on Wednesday that the recorders from the plane that crashed over the weekend will be sent to Europe for analysis.

Speaking to The Associated Press, airline spokesman Asrat Begashaw said one of the recorders aboard the crashed Boeing 737 Max 8 jet had been partially damaged. The airline has a “range of options” for the data and recordings of the flight’s final moments, he added.

The recorders will be sent to an undisclosed European country, he told the AP, adding that Ethiopia does not have “the capacity” to conduct its own review.
