A report released this month by the Reason foundation ranks New Jersey as the state with the worst highways in the country.
Based on categories like street conditions, congestion, and disbursements per mile, the Reason Foundation ranked each U.S. state for its highway systems for 24 years.
The foundation reported New Jersey is the worst at number 50, New York ranks at 45th on the list. North Dakota won the top spot.
This is the second consecutive year that New Jersey placed last on the report’s list.
